I don't measure the tread depth on the car. When they wear out, I replace them. Other than that, just drive the car. Its fun.

When my tires look like slicks they get replaced. Until then I drive it.

I figured I may as well measure them as they are currently off the rims. If they were more like 4s all across I'd change them but I figure I'll get through this and maybe most of next year with them.

My 10 GS wears the tires even across both from and back. They're Michilin Super Sports and they've been on it about a year.

Question

Being that my car has the stock front alignment and the even wear to the outside walls at 4mm, should I bother having the alignment done at this time to get a more even wear or just WAIT until I buy new tires?

Leave them as is... I tried changing my alignment on my car halfway through the tires life and the car was all over the road afterwards.. ...WW

Don't know my tread depth. Just replaced my SS with PS4S after 41,800 miles on them. I kept one rear mounted for a spare and....

outside 3/32"
center 5/32"
inside 4/32"

My tires are too new, but your numbers look normal. It's typical on most vehicles to see between 1 and 2 32nds different between voids. 4- range, 6-7 looking good so far.

Your front outers may be from enthusiastic cornering, or just from the camber being set neutral.

My Firestones have 17,500 miles on them and still look new. They get aligned every 5,000 miles.

I have the Michelins - - tire wear seems nice and even on my base C6 with Z51. I'm running about 31 - 32 PSI cold in the tires. Wear is at about 8/32 on all four corners.

Bad roads, or did you buy the lifetime alignment warranty at Firestone?

Gotta love lifetime alignments!

Let me understand this...you get an "alignment" every 5,000 miles, or do you get a "balance" every 5K?

Mine look good after 9k miles but the ride is another story. Goodyear run flats have to be the worst tire in history! Can't wait to get rid of them, pure garbage...
