Default How's your day??????????

So as my wife was on her way to work and sitting in traffic some guy decided he didn't want to stop and slammed into the truck behind my wife. The truck was hit so hard it slammed ino her. She is OK but the main culprit to this took off. Luckily she got a partial plate and someone called the police with a full plate.

Can't tell all the damage but lots of stuff looked broken and trunk doesn't line up and I had to pry it open. Now it doesn't close

So sorry to hear. I totally understand how you feel. I got rear ended by an idiot texting while driving about a month after I got my C6. The important thing is she is okay which is great. She will be like new in no time!

I hate when that happens!

I'm glad she's OK, and someone called in the plate#.

The main thing is your wife is OK, cars can be replaced.

What are the chances that the hit and run driver has insurance.....hopefully for your sake but I doubt it.

I expect the rear quarter panel to break in two like it did, but would have thought the rear bumper cover would just bend since it's rubber, or a rubber-like material.

It really is frightening how many distracted, and otherwise preoccupied drivers are on the road. Then factor in drugs, alcohol, stress, medical conditions. It's a wonder any of us make it home alive. Glad your wife is alright, if a little shaken up. Sorry to see your car broken up, going wide in the back is a good idea.. if you must replace, might as well make room for wider tires

Sorry to hear about the car, at least your wife is okay. There seems to be a lot of hit and run's lately here in the Austin/SA/Houston, and Dallas areas.

Yeah she's a little sore but other wise alright. If they catch the guy I will be making sure they press the appropriate charges.

Same thing happened to a buddy other day and almost totaled his tundra guy got caught and is noW awaiting felony charges

As for car it's just a car I got to the wreck and found out she was OK I told her we could just sell it to get the z06 lol

That is terrible. I'm glad she is OK. But be sure to keep an eye on your wife. Sometimes she can start having pain a few days after an accident. Or go into shock. Cars can be repaired or replaced but people can't. Good luck and we'll be praying for you. God Bless.

Yikes!! Glad the wife is OK. That looks bad. Lots of fiberglass pieces under that that are probably cracked as well. Could be a total loss.

Glad she is OK. The car is just a car and can be fixed.

Doesn't matter. The insurance company will tell you that the truck hit the car, not the H&R driver. It is the truck's insurance that has to pay and then the truck insurance company will have to sue the H&R driver for both. Now if the truck doesn't have insurance...
