Motor Trend concept (with rear glass you can see out of)
oh, and the rear end got trimmed a bit and the exhaust returned to the middle...
Here's a link to the MT original http://www.motortrend.com/future/spi...c6/index1.html

Re: Motor Trend concept (bkuper)
Tthat is certainly better for the glass. Now look at the lines on the side. The scoop top edge appears to meet the rear wheel cut out and then restart to go all the way back to almost the top edge of the rear deck. That is new to me.

If thats going to be the C6, I will take one. This new Vette going to make the current C5 really drop in value... :chevy :iagree: :smash:

I doubt anything would make it to production with that wide a B pillar.

Too bad about the exhaust... it was better at the corners.
I hope that side strake is optional, because I don't like it.
And while the wheels are interesting, they're too Lexus SC430. I doubt Corvette will get anything distinctive in that department... seems everybody wants boring five-spoke utilitarian pieces.

B pillar too big, tail lights from the '78 / '79 parts bin look out of date, hope the side strike is an option 'cause its ugly, wheels are ugly, the MT front (not seen here) is VERY ugly, horrible headlights. The entire design is too busy with useless creases / bumps on both facias. This is NOT a pleasing design. I hope the technical forecast in that MT article is dead on (BASE= 425HP, Z06=500HP, both cars lighter in weight, more luxurious inside, better build quality - all great stuff). But I hope MT has missed the design by a very large margin.

Re: Motor Trend concept (bkuper)
Like 95% of other C6 concepts, this one might promise big numbers under the hood, but unfortunately its appearance doesn't say it. The rear of the C5 is very aggressive, broad-shouldered, and masculine.
If the C5 and C6 could talk, the conversation might go like this:
C6: "Wheee! I can go fast!"
C5: "Get the f@ck out of my way!"

Bugly!
And I don't like it, either.
A big'ol raspberry to that design.
But I DO HOPE that's the C6. My C5 will retain more of it's value, that way.

That's an improvement over the MT design. The crease in the glass may be a challenge for production. I still picture the B pillar a little smaller.
