Dealers and MSRP?
How much do you think the Chevy stealers will mark up the first C6s?
At least 10-15 grand at city stealerships! I think.

Re: Dealers and MSRP? (CPT Z06)
If people are foolish enough to pay $10 - $15K over sticker price, the dealers will charge it, if nobody buys at those prices the dealer will lower the price until they start to sell. I can't really blame the dealers too much, they're there to make money and if someone is willing to buy a car at well over the sticker price, the dealer will be glad to take the extra money. Unfortunately, there's enough fools out there with money that will need to be the first on their block to have a C6 to keep prices up for a while.
I won't even think about buying a C6 until I can get one for sticker or less.

Most of the first C6s will be preordered and delivered to owners, not sitting on lots for sale.
That said, no one is going to pay that much of a premium for a regular production car. Even if only to have the "I got it first." mentality for the first few months of ownership while others are waiting.

When the Miata first came out people were paying $5k over MSRP because people wanted it so bad.

Re: Dealers and MSRP? (THE LEGEND LIVES)
This is exactly why it behooves those who want a first-year C6 to place a deposit with a CF supporting dealership...MSRP or slightly below.
One can be had for below MSRP from Ken Fichtner. I bought my C5 and a Suburban from him and I would do it again. He is a great guy to deal with.
