I'd bet money that the Daytona Sunset Orange is the same Sunset Orange that GM is using on the Hummer and the Avalanch, same code. How much would you bet that the C-6 is going to pace the 2004 Daytona 500 and the color will be Sunset Orange! Thus explaining the "Daytona Sunset Orange" selection.

To see if it is the same paint, compare the touch up paint codes. The code for C6 Sunset Orange is WA-633H. What is touch up paint code for the Avalanche ?

I just checked the code for the avalanche...the code is indeed WA-633H!
Looks like we know what the color will be.

On the Avalanche it is called Sunburst orange II metallic.

Is that really the same color as the avalanche??? :U I should have known GM wouldn't provide a color like the one Tuan Le or Mrkln used on their C5s. Now that's orange! :thumbs:

Here's some pics I found of the Sunset Orange on the Avalanche. Looks like a burnt orange, same as that firebird:

GM offered Sunset Orange on the 2000 and 2001 Silverado. It was not available in 2002 on up (for the Silverado anyway). Maybe it didn't sell very well....I don't know. I do know they sold at least one... :)
