Would you want a C6 convertible Z06?
Fully realizing that some people reading the title of this thread are already gearing up to write something like "GM isn't going to build a convertible Z06 so drop it...blah, blah, blah", I just wanted to find out how many people on here would be interested in buying a limited edition convertible that came equipped with the same options (engine, tranny, suspension...) and roughly the same performance numbers as the future Z06, and what would they be willing to pay for it?
I know a number of people have said that if it was available, they would write a check right now, but I want to get some sort of quantifiable idea as to how many people would really be interested in getting the car, and how much would they be willing to part with to get one.
Thanks for the feedback!

I don't think there's one single solitary person on this forum that would want a C6 convertible Z06.
....
I'd want one if the power gap is as big as it seems like it will be (100hp).

I would want one! them being hardtops is why I don't own a zr1 or z06. I perfer verts in vettes I just think they look better and are more fun......really wish the zr1's were offered in verts.

Keep the hardcore suspension bits and carbon fiber diet, just give me the big motor (and its tranny) with the Z51 or F55 suspension and the standard body, or at least one that doesn't look like it's been widened. Think ZR1.

Better question might be:
Would you want a targa Z06, no different then the standard Corvette Coupe?
Why must Z06 be fixed roof, with the sacrifice of the storage area of the Coupe hatch back?
I would by the Z06 - provided it is available in the standard Coupe hatchback body style WITH the great Targa Roof feature too!

Good way to ask the forum's oldest question.
If you can get a Lambo vert, I think you ought to be able to pull the lid off a Z06. But there would still have to be a hardtop version for the hardcore racers. I don't think most sanctioning bodies will let you run a removable top car anymore.
I'd like to see Z06 be an option package for motor, suspension, wheels, tires and brakes that could go on any Vette. A hairy chested Z51.
And then a ZX6 racers package with the same motor and suspension in a lightweight car with solid top, lexan windows and hatch, no radio or power accessories. I think you could trim 200-300 lbs off the car and make it a real beast.

If I could just get a Z06 Targa, I'd pay a $5K to $10K premium *just* to be able to take the roof off.
...but it'll never happen because GM doesn't want to make real profit.
