The main reason for that is because the M3 CSL uses slick tires if it were using normal street tires the C6 better power to weight ratio would kick its butt....

Part of it, the other list is much more updated with lap times for cars like the Carrera GT, C6, SLR and 997S among others.....

Those time generally make sense. According to BMW the new M5 does it in 8.00 minutes, about 28 seconds faster than the old M5. Since it is heavier than the C6, its 100 extra hp would about offset the weight. Thus the close time comparison between the C6 and the M5.
