Default Cost for good driver's insurance

I got a USAA insurance quote of $620/yr for my wife and I; no tickets, no accident, Home, life & umbrella policy with USAA. But even so reading the threads this looks too low for a 50K+ car.

I'm not going to question it, but I thought I'd ask the forum:

What are you paying a year for insurance with No tickets & no accidents?

Thanks,
Al

$1500 <8K miles/year driven

I'm 32 and married with a perfect record. My car is also garaged.

Heck, I pay $1300/year for my sebring vert alone.

State Farm gave me an estimate of a little over $600 for 6 months. Counting the C6, I'll have 5 cars insured with them and 4 drivers. Two are the drivers are under 21, ugh.

$957 per year from GEICO. Retired, no tickets or accidents in 25-30 years. No other insurance with them, just 2 autos. Quoted price is for C6 only.

Location has a lot to do with rates as well as individuals being insured.

I agree, there are too many variables, your best bet is to rate other agencies based on your location and coverage to see if you are getting a great deal or not.

Im with USAA also and im 21 with an accident and a speeding ticket. I have a Subaru WRX and the C6 and my insurance will be $950 for 6 months with a 1k deducitble...It may sound bad but for my age it is a really good deal, especially with my record. USAA is hard to beat. Insurance was cheaper by $400 every 6 months using the suby as a daily driver. I have heard of guys my age paying over 1500 per 6 for just their WRX so im not complainin.

That's right - for USAA.

If you have it or can get it (USAA, I mean) NEVER EVER EVER get rid of it.

They are far and away the best insurance company anywhere. Prices are usually better than others (or at very least the low-end of the spectrum) and they have by far the best service.

I use them for my cars, motorcycle, homeowners, life ins, and even auto loans if I want to finance. They are the best!!

Better double check. USAA usually gives quotes based on 6 month intervals.

Yeah, I doubled the quote.

Also, I do most of my driving into and out of the Sacramento, CA Metro area. ~70 miles/day

You might want to check to see if you can get a low milage rate that is lower. I got my insurance today from Alfa with 1000 deductable with 7500 mile per year limit for 287 for six months.

$850 for the year for the C6, we insure two cars and our home throught the same company. We pay high insurance. Being lumped in with Houston kills our rates despite being almost 600 miles away. I hate insurance companies.

jabez -
you can only get USAA if you were an officer in the military, or one of your parents was.

that's the catch

My vette insurance is $685 each year. I have three cars and a house; my monthly payments for the insurance is $184 for all 4 things. I have my insurance with Nationwide and I am a member of the Farm Bureau so that I can get a discount.
