I installed ZR1 mufflers on my Z06 - video
All I have to say is wow, this exhaust deserves to be on the Z06 from the start.
Other mods are intake, ARH headers and high flow cats. No cam or anything.

It does, comes from the factory on the 2011 Carbon and Z07.

I guess I meant since the first year C6 Z06. I know the changeover happened in 2011. I was looking for either a 2009+ ZR1 exhaust or 2011+ Z06. Luckily I got the ZR1 version, so I can "say" I have the ZR1 exhaust lol

Does the radio/nav need to come out for the install ? J/k

Sure does sound awesome! But the headers and high flow cats do have a lot to do with it, I had a similar setup on my last Vette. I would be curious to hear the difference with only the mufflers on stock manifolds and cats if anyone has the ZR1 mufflers.

I agree the headers add a lot of volume to the package. I recently added Kooks to my Corsas and the result was awesome . Also agree the 2011 exhaust was the best stock by far.

I don't get it with the haters and deniers, the Z07 Ultimate Performace Package includes the ZR1 radiator, adjustable shocks, oil cooler, exhaust, spoiler, wheels and tires, etc. for 2011, the Z06/Z07 with CFZ was basically a ZR1 with a 427. And the exhaust has been demonstrated by Hib Halverson to produce at least 11-12 more RWHP.

I was thinking of doing the ZR1 exhaust for cost savings but going BB Fusion instead.

That's what I was trying to find out and told there is no improvement. But were the 427's with the ZR1 mufflers actually rated for more HP? LS3's with only the NPP option are rated 6 HP higher.

No, officially the HP numbers from the factory are the same, however in a real world test done by Hib Halverson, automotive journalist and enthusiast, documented on this Forum, he got the results of 11-12 additional RWHP switching to the 2011 exhaust. There are a couple of threads that discuss the higher HP of the 2011's.
