More internal reinforcement, they are trying hard to have the AL frame for the C7 targa/verts.

I doubt the C7 is the large target for this engineering. The CAFE rule is going to make this stuff needed much more in everyday vehicles, not just sports cars. If GM can get this tooled up for truck/SUV production along with that hybrid system, they could make some serious coin.
