Default Where will the ZR1 score on this list?

Top Gear will probably have the Stig take the ZR1 around there race track. Do you think that the ZR1 will be the king? Basically 5 seconds would need to be shaved off the Z06 time, looks like a tall order but I am thinking it will be KING....

Even Jeremy said the excessive tire spin in the beginning of the z06 lap cost the stig time... I think that the Zr1 will be top 5, with a better launch..

Looks like Top Gear is in Reno NV for some driving of the ZR1...

Does not look like The Stig will be invoved as their track is in England...

Maybe in a future segment someone will loan them a ZR1 in England for the Stig to try...

FIrst of all, Jeremy Clarkson hates American cars and always bashes the Vette. Secondly they will make sure to spin the tires on take off just a little longer than necessary just to make it 1 second slower so it will lower the ZR1 at least 5 places....if you don't believe it, just watch how much they spin the tires when they did the test on the Silver Z06. and look at how much it lowered the rating on the Z06. Tiff Needle on 5th gear is a better driver and does not put down cars like Jeremy does.

I wonder why they did not test the comparo T-1? It would be number 1 for sure, it will leave a Veyron for dead in acceleration. It weighs only 1,200 lbs less than a formula 1 car and has 575 hp and a Real sequential 6 speed racing tranny and can muster 3 G's of cornering force with the right tires and downforce setup. There is no car that can even come close, not even the Apollo. The designers both worked on McClaren F-1 cars. It hits 100 mph in 5 seconds and is hands down the fastest car to 200 mph on this planet.

Not to be an *** but they did test that car. If it can't go over a speedbump it doesn't count as a car so they don't put it on the list.

Low to mid 1:18's. Should place in the top 5 easily.

The Z06 tire spin at the start of its lap was pretyt excessive. Maybe that cost it a couple of spots, maybe it didn't, but you have to love where the Z06 still stands on that list despite being a few years older.

So far the ZR1, by what accounts I've read here in some of those "I drove the ZR1 on a track" threads, looks to be quite a bit faster than the Z06, and it should slot in right among the best cars ever. And thats pretty amazing.

1.19.0-1.19.6 Would be pretty impressive My official guess would be 1.19.6

You guys that think it will top the board are brainwashed.

Some scientific attitude towards the subject:
1. Assumption- Jim Mero would do the Ring in the C6Z within 7.45
2. Time of ZR1 at the ring: 7.26 which makes 96% of the Z06
3. Time of Z06 on the TG track 1,22.4
4. Calculated time on TG track for ZR1 - 1.09 (96%) - (my fault 1.19)

Calculation for GTR.
Time on the Ring - 7.29 96,6% of Z06(as above)
Calculated time on Top Gear track for GTR - 1.19.6...
pretty close.

I assumed 7.45 for Z06 because I think Magnussen squezzed a bit more off Z06 than Mero off ZR1 (headwind, a big mistake in one corner...)
GTR's potential has been used much more by the driver than in the ZR1. Probably this could explain 0,1 s of the difference between real and theoretical time of GTR.

I wonder if my calculations will be close to reality

Cool post smok.

Rain messes with the Top Gear board, but just time messes with it as well, I think. Alot of the slower times are early, while alot of fast times are recent. Better driver in recent times?

Hopefully the ZR1 gets a nice dry day and a good run. If so I predict between the Zonda F and the MC12. If there's water on the track, all bets are off.

96% of 1.22 is 1.18.72 not 1.09 old chap...

The track is very short and very tight which the ring is neither.. Top Gear's loop favours very light cars with super brakes and not giant overweight front engine cars..

Still it should be with the Ariel Atom methinks..
