Passport and Beltronics are basically the same unit built by the same company.

The Passport unit incorporates a GPS sensor and can automatically mute after passing places with auto door openers and other false alarms. It also uses the GPS to alert when your coming in range of a known speed trap or camera. It can be updated with a laptop and usb cable to add known sped traps, cameras and false alarms. It also incorporates a system called laser shifting to effectively jam a Laser gun long enough to slow down (depending on how far you have your foot buried in it).

For example they just sent me this message....

The Passport is a good unit. Though I have a Garmin to tell me where the speed and red light camera's are across the country (can be updated all the time too) and the Val-1 still gives the best radar and laser advance warning of them all. Not to mention, I love those patented Arrows!
