For me its not a science or anything, I just try to start with about a 1/2tank of gas so I don't have to refuel when I am racing.

You think with they would at least be powershifting these cars to get the best possible time?

Why? It's not worth the abuse on the drivetrain for hardly any gains if any at all. Only car that powershifted yesterday was the LPE ZR1, finally got that perfect pass together but it seems every time they powershifted it just wouldn't go into gear.
