Default Best carbon fiber splitter replacement

I scratched the carbon fiber splitter on the front of the car. I took it to a local body shop and they told me there was nothing they could do to repair it. I am looking at the splitter from Katech, APR and LG as well as the OEM product. I was wondering which one people on the forum would recommend?

No regrets so far with Katech.

I have a Katech spoiler and pretty disappointed with the quality and how wavy it is. I'd consider others.

First bad comment that I've seen. Have you tried to call them with your concern?

Yup, they know about them being wavy and the way the brake light fits. They offered a refund if I send it back.

Sucks that that happened to your spoiler. I haven't heard that complaint from others that I know that have it.

On the other hand, the front splitter that most of us have purchased as replacements, as well as GS and Z06 owners as add ons, have held up well so far and are good quality. Per Jason, no UV coating like GM product which saves on the price. Maybe this affects the spoilers more since they get more sunlight.

Hmmm....if it has a brake light in it it's not a splitter!!!

I've got a Katech splitter and IMHO it's better than the OE one.

It is a nicer dark gray instead of the weird yellowish/greenish tint that the OE c/f has. I wish all my c/f pieces looked as good as the Katech one.

Jason says the Katech splitter has UV protection, it's just mixed in with their bonding stuff.

It does have a slightly different tint, but it's not noticeable because it's pretty far removed from the side skirts and top so you can't see them together.

I parked next to another ZR1 at a get-together a couple weeks ago and you could tell the difference with the two front ends side-by-side. My Katech splitter looked WAAAYYY better on my Cyber Gray than his green one did on his Black ZR1.

Plus, the Katech splitter will accept their undertray if you want even better aero benefit.

Bob
