Yeah, I bet it's been flogged pretty hard. That said, potent package at a reachable price.

Without any history and information about the car the price is completely meaningless.
What is the commission at the Mecum auction?
It is really a big drop. Back in 2009 most people paid $10K over the sticker, plus the Lingenfelter mod (we don't know if it is 1ZR or 3ZR), at least $50K drop.

- perhaps it was a Lingenfelter test mule they used to experiment on and as their promotional car. That may help the value down the road. Its probably worth the extra 20 to 25k to get a new or near new zr1. No telling how much you would have to dump in to this thing as problems sneak up as it gets driven. Road hard and hung up wet.

Crazy price for that car with those mods. They didn't list mileage either and did say it had done several lengthy cruises and the Texas Mile. Even with 20k miles that is still a deal IMO. I bet you couldn't get away with any warranty work either if it needed it so that's a drawback. They also sold another 09 ZR1 (JSB) with 800 miles according to description for $91500. That seemed low to me as well, with low miles I would think mid-$90k's.

LPE's test mule that ran 9.81 in the 1/4 mile is sitting in our show room with right at 1K miles. It is a 3ZR and in PERFECT condition, not for sale though.

This actually was a Lingenfelter car - for sale by LPE along with many others. They apparently unloaded a few Vettes they just had sitting around the shop

My car was actually a Lingenfelter car, that I purchased from Ken Lingenfelter. My car was the car used for testing and the test mule for the redesigned inlet snout. It was also the first 9 sec ZR1.

I was there racing the day your car went 9.81.......That car is awsome and would have probably been quicker if the 4th gear syncro had been done by you!.....But much more impressive than the ET was the 145 trap!!!!!

You are lucky to have the extra special lingenfelter test mule that was ridden with a velvet saddle and kicked with spurs cushioned by a coating of feathers.

Sounds like yours is the one to have!
