Got the windows tinted - pics
I took the Z to get the windows tinted yesterday. I love it. I think I'll take the coupe next. The guy did a great job. He took a good 3.5 to 4 hours, making sure the rear window was laid down appropriately. It is one piece - no seam. I see a couple of bubbles on the back that I may need to get him to address but other than that, I really like the look. I added a few more pics while I was at it.
Sorry for the sun glare but we don't have clouds or rain down here in southeast Texas - just drought.
I drove the car all day yesterday around Houston - OMG! I LOVE THIS CAR!
Whatcha' think?
BTW - Gary - JP did a great job.

What percentage tint did you do on the back and the side windows. I have a black ZO6 and I am getting it tinted in a couple weeks along with 3M clear bra. I was thinking about 20% all around but lately been leaning to 20% rear and 35% side windows.

Thanks guys! I really like it.
35 on the front/20 on the rear. It's not really that dark in bright sun but could be at night. I'm thinking now I'll get my coupe done but since I drive it all the time, I'll probably do 35 all the way around.

Looks VERY NICE Lisa... just like I figured it would given the contrast between white and dark shades! I will take some pics of mine this weekend and post them. As for the bubbles, that is normal and they should go away over next several days... if you let the car sit in the sun for most of the day the bubbles will disappear quicker as it has to do with the film drying process.

Looks great! I like the 20/35 combo. Any darker and you can't see at night time.
When I did my wife's car (non-Corvette) the installer advised me not to roll the window down for at least a day. How did yours hold up as the windows index down every time you open the door?
Next job: black mirrors and rear spoiler.

I think the mirrirs and spoiler would be too much for me. I'm too conservative that way. And I think only if I did black wheels. Being a girl, I like the chrome bling - reminds me of diamonds.
Thx BTW.

The tint looks great! I initially had a problem with the film adhering in the area of the dots on the rear window. Pressed it down myself with a tint blade about a week later and that solved the problem 100%.
In my opinion, there is nothing else to do with the exterior of your car. It looks fantastic!
