Well members of the "Darker Blue" Corvette camp, or at least a representation of that camp have expressed their opinions.

First off, I too am a fan of dark blues and although Electron Bue and LeMans Blue are nice colors I would prefer something more navy in color and metallic, similar to a color used in either '89 or '90.

I did see this color at the Birthday Bash at the National Corvette Museum this year and yes, I thought it was a very nice color, but I also prefer silver/grey as well.

I think this color can work, if the car is optioned with a different wheel. In the picture, it appears dull and at first glance the comp grey wheel doesn't offer any great appeal. The fact that it is also cloudy does not help.

Anyway, I've been waiting to see this color on a complete car and I will wait to pass judgement until I see it in person.

So that's one for the "I like it column". (JMHO)

Have a great Corvette season!

IN MY 45 PLUS YEARS OF BUYING CORVETTES I NEVER SAW A COLOR I DID NOT LIKE.....AS LONG AS ITS A CORVETTE I AM HAPPY...Harvey
PS. ONE CAVEAT: The only one my Wife WOULD NOT let me bring home was the 1998 Purple Pace Car w/(Yellow Wheels).. Sorry to those who have one, but at the time my Wife drew a line in the Sand...Harvey

I have owned Electron Blue and Lemans Blue Corvettes. It doesn't look like I'll be getting another blue anytime soon. I don't know who selects colors at GM, but they need to be fired!

Default Barbie Blue!

I think GM should rename this to Barbie Blue. Carlisle deserve a better color.

That's absolutely perfect!!!

Look - you can hardly see the color here either!

The folks from Carlisle should be offended. I don't like it, especially on a Corvette.

Park this next to a JSB, white, and yellow and it'll look like a bunch of oversized Easter eggs...

I gotta agree with most of the comments on this thread about the new blue color. There really weren't any colors where I though GM missed the mark on the C6 until now. Maybe it will look better in person . . . .

Jeff
LOL!! LOL !! That's the bike! Collectable now! And before i die someone will selling this ugly *** car telling me it's rare and collectable!!! yeah it's rare for a reason....ugly! I want to know who checked off the box on the order sheet to buy this car? as it is dealers are sitting on cars but this one better have an owner cause it will be there for a loooong time!

Some unique and daring individuals will buy and cherish corvettes in Carlisle Blue. Different strokes for different folks. That's what makes life interesting. I've said before that if the ZR1 was available only in "Barney Purple", I'd still be a buyer.

On the plus side for CB, it looks like a nice, non-clashing, compliment to the JSB calipers, badging, and surpercharger cover.
