I have been doing a lot of investigation on this and it can go from $15K up and this can include (heads, cam, thermostat, upgraded intercooler, 3/4 upgrade intercooler pump and lines to superchager, front snout upgrade, new intake system, etc....) It is expensive to say the least just do your homework and find a shop you trust.

Lethal Performance will be doing upgrades to our ZR1 very soon. It will be a step by step process. That is about the range we will be shooting for.

My new ZR1 has this package....

Lingenfelter Stage 3
The 750 Horsepower package includes the addition of our GT9 ZR1 supercharger camshaft and Lingenfelter CNC ported LS9 cylinder heads. This package gives you additional power over our 710 HP package while maintaining a safe level of boost and supercharger RPM. The GT9 camshaft has an excellent sound quality and will not degrade the vehicles drivability or reliability.

750 BHP / 730 lbs ft of torque

See chassis dyno sheet

Package Includes:

- Engine removal & removal of supercharger assembly, cylinder heads, camshaft
- Lingenfelter CNC porting & polishing of LS9 cylinder heads for optimal flow
- Lingenfelter multi-angle valve job, cc chambers, surfacing & spring height adjustment
- Competition Cams valve springs, LS9 retainers and locks
- Lingenfelter GT9 camshaft by Competition Cams
- GM Head gaskets & head studs
- 160 degree thermostat
- Lingenfelter cast aluminum supercharger front cover assembly

- 100 mm aluminum double bearing idler assembly
- Lingenfelter LS9 solid supercharger isolator coupling
- Lingenfelter ZR1 air intake system
- Increased boost level 12 - 13 psi
- Professional installation, camshaft degreeing, testing & ECU calibration
- Chassis dyno report before & after installation
- Excellent drivability, highway mileage not adversely affected

We have already been there. ANd my car is a daily driver with "clout".

A 750 rwhp package needs to be over 850 at the flywheel. We used our 750 rwhp set up in the Spectre 341 hill climb last weekend. The pricing can vary for example my car has our own Tilton 3 disc Carbon clutch set up that I have been running since the event last year, on the street. That clutch and flywheel package alone is over $6000. And the clutch package will easily hold the 850+ hp at the flywheel PLUS gives you a 48 pound weight saving.

You get what you pay for and the choice is yours as to what you want.

At any rate, call Anthony or Bobby at LGM 972-429-1963 and they can discuss all the options.

Here is another sound clip from the ZR1 ---

Here is a video from the outside of the ZR1 that I am talking about. It is the last car in the video
Click forward to 1:44 if you don't want to listen to the other cars.
Thanks

I think to answer the question you have to ask yourself if you are willing to run on E85 or race gas? You can make alot more power with less modifications if you are will to run one of those fuels.

Running E85 will help a lot. Boosted cars love E85.

No better testimonial than this IMO.

How so very true. I've heard this from my elders countless times.

E85 is the better option, if you have it available. There isnt a better fuel for this application. The stock ZR1 fuel system will support what the blower can support. IE, max the blower out, you still have fuel left over with just an injector swap.

I agree.

The things that you need to make power are octane, and boost. A fully prepped Zr1 on E85 or race gas, will make a lot more than pump gas, 93 octane. Even at 9:1 compression, the blower makes a lot of heat, and its hard to make consistent and reliable power.

Adding a cam will help, and adding ported heads will help too.

You can also do blower work, which has netted us great results. That alone ( Blueprint/clean/raceprep/machine the blower) is worth around 30 at the wheels.

Next year for the hillclimb, we will switch to E85, do some cam testing, and add the blower blueprinting mentioned above, and I feel we can reach 850 rwhp/850 rwtq

Its best to determine your budget. Within that budget, set your goals. Once you have those two in place, its much easier to find a shop that can help you meet those goals.

We have done quite a bit of ZR1 work, as well as tried to break Lous car. Its been a great testbed, and I think the results and performance speaks for itself. If you dont do business with us, you atleast owe it to yourself to give us a call and ask us questions so you are prepared

He wants rwhp. I'm pretty sure that's flywheel.

Anyone just swap on a procharger or centri blower and make 750+? Seems like it would be a good way to get big power.

Funny you mentioned that I just asked if it could be done on the ZR1. That procharger F2A would be a beast on the ZR1 and bang for the buck be a lot cheaper to install for sure.

It can be done. I would LOVE to do that. Feel free to give me a call if you are interested in a project like that.
