Default 3ZR ZR1 really is the beast

Many refer to the ZR1 being the "beast"

That maybe so but only the hero model

Looking at the 2011 stats I could not help but notice the number of 3ZR equipped ZR1's that were sold during the 2011 model run.

If a person has enough money to "buy" a ZR1 outright OR enough income to afford large payments then they most likely won't be troubled by the additional cost of this lux option package.

But, the news of this stat is about as exciting as the breathless news of how many of the GS model have been sold. Performance wise neither makes much if any difference.

If they could I'm sure people would order ZR1s with automatic transmissions too.

Mine is one of the 3ZR. I love it and chose that interior because my coupe is a 4LT. That's what I wanted, that's what I got. And I LOVE IT!!

Not me - I was going to order a Z06 because I wanted the HP AND the stick. By the time I loaded the Z06 I was almost at the ZR1.

Wouldn't be near as much fun as an automatic.

interesting only 74 3zr zr1's were made and 74 3lz z06's were made.

Difference in sticker from a 1zr to 3zr is 10k to 12k.

If i was buying to keep a long time I would go 1zr. - less made, more collectible down the road and 10+ years down the road people buying that far out won't being as much attention to the cosmetic interior upgrades if the car is kept in great shape, and there are a few less doo-dads to go wrong.

If i was buying to drive then sell in a couple of years I would get a 3zr. Probably a little easier to sell, because those buying will be looking at the cosmetic interior upgrades.

What I would prefer is a 0zr - without the carbon fiber running boards and carbon fiber duck lip up front, without the adjustable magnetic suspension, without the see through hood panel and without the ceramic brake rotors but with the bigger rotor diameter then the base
z06.

Put the base sticker price of this 0zr - Zr1 at $98,999 and I think that would be a big seller. A better car in my opinion then the carbon fiber
z06 or a z06 with the z07 package.

Then make a version called 0zr "zr1-lite" / with "crank" your own windows up and down, no/AC, no radio and with a list at $95,999. - I'll take one of these right now - If the mighty general in its infinite wisdom produced one of these they would more then likely put the sticker at $149,999.

There were 666 ZR1's sold with the 3ZR package. That is why I made the reference to people calling it a "beast"

The end time beast, aka superman of sin in the Bible and the Book of Revelation is known by the number of the beast that is 666.

Could not help but notice the coincidence with people calling their ZR1 a beast....... like us the car just needs the right hands on the wheel
