I watch this show and all i can think is how much greater in every which way the original is compared to this show. They should just stop trying to be like it because they are utterely failing trying to imitate it.
Nice to see the ZR1 get a better time around the course though.

They really need a better anchor host.....put Jay Leno in that position and the show would be far better.
I think "The Car Show" on Speed is far and away better......

I would bet that Tanner is the stig, so it would be hard for him to race himself.
Atleast they admitted it was the drivers fault and not the car. The launch control on the 458 is amazing so I'm not surprised it won. I would expect most of the time the ferrari would beat the zr1 in a race like that because of drivers. For the average drive it would be a lot easier to get down a 1/4 fast in a 458 than a zr1.
I thought it was a good episode.

The ZR1 got around the track in 1:22.4, slotted into second place behind the Viper ACR at 1:22.0. The 458 was about a second slower, slotted into fourth place. What a beautiful car that was, though.
They were testing a 2011 ZR1, so I wonder how the 2012 with Pilot Sport Cups would have done.
And yeah, the Stig might well be Tanner, particularly given how he oversteered the ZR1 all the way around. The man can sure drive, but I'm not convinced the way he did it was the fastest way around the track.

Thanks, do they use their own special course or do they run on a certain roadcourse? What came in 3rd?

They use their own special course set up at an airport, and the studio is a hangar. The list of lap times is an ongoing one from different shows across the series. I don't remember what was third, but I want to say it was a Superleggera. They flashed it up there pretty quickly.
