Default Petite Lemans at Road Atlanta. Few Pics

What a great day today for racing. Temps started off around 50 and the high got to about 65 degrees. I took afew pics, hope you enjoy!

8:00 AM and the crowd was starting to grow.

Guess where this was taken:

Teams were starting to warm up and take a few practice laps:

I think I was standing about as close as I could get. Teams starting to pull out for practice and warm up

A few other brands:

Corvette Parking.

At the Chevy tent:

This guy was making his way down during the National Anthem:

Just a few more minutes before race time!

It's on!!

Some of mine.

Track dryer

My buddy and I walked the entire track throughout the day to see the race from every angle. Here you can see we're in the woods out by "The Esses". Fun times.

This was just too cool not to snap a pic of. This is early morning before the races so no real "chaos" at the time of the shot.

Pre-race everyone on the grid checking out the cars. Well, this is not EVERYONE but maybe a 10th of all the people at this time. We ventured out onto the grid to see but it was like herding cattle out there so we only got close to one car then retreated for this wall.

The legendary turn 12

Probably the coolest race car out there. These things are so freakin' quiet driving by it's mind blowing.

Add this site to your favorites. Then check their 2012 calander when it's posted. This year was a great weather day.

Last year 2010 it was hot as all get out. 2009 it rained and drizzled all day. But always fun!!!

Definitely worth the drive. Last year was my first year and I don't plan on missing anymore going foward. It's an amazing sight to see if you love fast cars battling it out.

Oh, but I highly suggest bringing some ear plugs/headphones. When a pack of Ferrari's blow by the fence on the back straight you'll thank me.

I went to LeMans this year and the Audis are stealth like in appearance and just woosh as the go by, no noise but air moving. You hit it on the head, awsome cars!
