This cannot be right can it?
Found this browsing the web. Only 38k for an 08 with under 7k miles? Title has to be dirty. Anyone familiar? If it’s clean that is a hell of a deal for someone in the market.

Melting Slicks
could be a salvage title too -- might have a jacked up frame, who knows.
A very real possibility is that it's one of the flood damaged cars from the last big storm up north, I've heard they fix them up, and ship them south to unsuspecting buyers.

22 records isn't very many on a 5 year old car. You have to remember records include getting a title, registering the car, getting a loan, getting the oil changed, etc. 5 of those records could easily be for the initial sale and subsequent tag renewals for 4 years. Add a minimum of 4 oil changes, some minor warranty repairs and you can easily get 22 records on any car in 5 years.

Good point, but that will not happen in North Carolina. We have killer damage disclosure laws to protect folks from theft/reconstructed/salvage and Flood!!! BUT not all states have these laws. I believe maryland-south carolina have no such laws. And virginia has ugly history of washed titles!! If its to good to be true, well, you know the rest

VIN#1G1YY26E885133073. The car was involved in a collision to the right rear. All the damage has been fully repaired; the vehicle has been inspected by the DMV and given a rebuilt title.

My 2 cents is this:
I bought my '08 from the forum here with a rebuilt title. - Similar price, but higher mileage.
She actually waited for me for 3 weeks, because no one wanted to have the "salvage/ rebuilt".
Was I worried? - yes. But I talked to the seller and it turned out that I knew the guy that re-built her. (great piece of mind after talking to him & a small world) => ask for the "before" pictures and judge for yourself.
I still crawled all around the area where the damage was to check for telltale signs of shortcuts on the repair.
Experience so far:
My Credit Union financed it no problem - actually values it at 10k more than I paid.
I've had no problems getting insurance by adding it to my other cars.
Made those calls before getting near the car.
Minor issues:
1. Rad support frame broke when we lifted her to install headers, but that was a quick weld to fix.
2. The only other thing I had to fix was a broken PCV connector.
Other than a couple of tires, I've had a blast and never regretted getting into the car and really not having to worry "what if I drive it too much"
Oh, and of course never buy without a test drive.
