z06's driver suck!!!! and so the mustang! the only who did good is the porsche, auto and launch mode= awesome driver. My first time on the 1/4 with the z06 was against a 911 turbo
I managed 11.79@ 123.4 he did 11.98 @ 119.2!!!!

I agree. I know they have the Texas races on the airstrip. What I was really TRYING to show was that horsepower is not the most important factor in a cars performance. Even with a minor jump by the Z06 on the start, the GT500 could NOT pull on the Z06. And before anyone says the GT500 would have pulled had the race gone past the mile mark, I would highly disagree considering the huge advantage the Z06 has over the GT500 in aerodynamics.

What's weird is the GT500 was actually pulling on the GT500 for the 1/4 mile, finishing 2.5 MPH faster than the Z06... but somehow was more than 10 MPH slower than the Z06 in the standing mile?
Thanks,

Altitude and DA can play a part in times. I have run 122 mph and 118 mph at two different tracks and altitudes ( with my 2006 Z06 I once had ). Both on street tires. 1200 feet??? ( Fontana CA, 122mph ) and 2300 feet ( Edmonton 118 mph ) above sea level tracks.
I wanted to see what my car would do at a track 100 feet above but the street legal got rained out. Guessing I may have run 124-5 mph Mission BC.
So, mph fluctuation on different tracks could be 5-7 mph, maybe more in places like Denver or even Calgary at 3000 feet.
