ZR1 Automatic
Has anyone heard of someone converting their ZR1 to an automatic....or if Chevy ever has plans to make this an option?
Before anyone ask why in the heck would yo want that....I have a valid reason as I'm a left leg above knee amputee from a motorcyle accident almost 30 years ago and cannot work a clutch with my prosthetic or have the desire to have hand controls installed for one. A 6 speed auto works great for me.

I know there have been some Z06's converted to autos. You could search the Z06 Forum for info about who and how because it was posted there.

Melting Slicks
Here is a pic. It has a RPM 4L60E. It will hold up to 800hp. Anything more then that you will need a 4L80 but you need to cut the tunnel.
Redline installed the tranny in Mike's car.

Most we have done use a 4 speed auto as they are leaned on pretty hard. We can do the 6 speeds just a few more tricks we need to do. If your keeping power close to stock the 6L80E will be fine....any moderate power and we recommend the 4 speeds.

We have done quite a few C6 swaps....the ZR is not much different but there are a few things we had to address;
