Default Hennessey HPE700 Question

Has anyone had any experience with the Hennessey HPE700 upgrade? I am contemplating this for my 2013 ZR1. Pros? Cons?

I had their kit on my 2009 ZR1 without any issues at all. I kept in touch with the guy I sold it to for about 18 months after and he never had a problem with it that I am aware of. Last I knew it had about 13k miles and still running good.

Give the Lingenfelter Kit a look as well.

It appears to offer a better bang for the buck with the same reliability.

Hennessey has a shop within 40 miles of my house. Most of these upgrades require a tune that can't be done in my driveway. Yes, they are pretty expensive but I may not have much choice. I am in California and the 700 is smog compliant here. That is pretty important to me.

Point taken...but I think you have more choices than you think.

Lingenfelter can also email tune your car.

Its also smog compliant as well and will make more power.

As I stated before- it's also much cheaper.

Good luck, sir, with whatever you decide and make sure to post your results here!

Do any of these kits address the inner cooler flow issues for increased boost?

not directly but there are a few options, katech makes a larger heat exchanger, cooler logic makes a larger heat exchanger with bigger fittings for increased flow and offers a pump, veangence makes a kit with a pump and heat exchanger, or as another forum member as done he fit another stock heat exchanger above his current one and essentially did a dual pass set up

Whats mods are you looking to do? If you are doing something like a pulley and upgraded blower snout you can still drive the car to your tuner, just don't go into boost on the way there.

So far Hennessey is the only package I've found to be California emissions compliant. This is the downside of living out here. If it won't pass smog I won't be able to get it registered or sold if need be. I would also like to do headers but there aren't any long tubes with a carb number.
