2013 gt500 and ZR1
Whats up guys? So I never had a chance to run a zr1 on the highway and was wondering if anyone has ever ran a Shelby? I have huge respect for the zr1 and z06 and funny enough have not raced one in my first year of owing my Shelby....Here is a quick pull 2-4th gear, spinning a touch so was baby shifting, it was cold out 45deg....If anyone has any comparable zr1 speedo vids love to see!

Honestly I think you'd have a tough time against one. Should get a bid with better shifting to be able to make a better comparison. It took my car in the high 14-15sec area to do 40-155/157 at the last 1/2mile event.
And here's me vs a stock zr1
And me vs a stock 13 GT500, I know your modded but still

nice ride, on paper the cars are a close match but what hurts you is your weight disadvantage, if you come across a bad driver you might take the lead and stay there otherwise if the guy can drive you will more than likely lose
assuming everyone is stock of course,

This goes all the way back to the race I had with a pullied/tuned '03 Cobra many, many years ago. He was making ~450rwhp to my 337rwhp bolt-on LS1 '01 C5 Vette and I was still barely pulling on him, just barely..we were effectively dead even with a slight edge to the C5. But he had over 100rwhp more. Weight, gearing, aero make a big difference when comparing a Mustang to a Vette.
That said, I think the '13+ GT500 cars are sweet and what a monster of a 5.8L supercharged engine. I still like my LS9 better, but bang for the buck the GT500 is a fun street car for the guy/gal who enjoys straight line acceleration/drag racing and doesn't plan to run hot laps at a local road course.

If money and space wasn't an issues, i would own every single hi-PO car GT500 included!! But i had to make a choice! I had a choice between a brand new 2013 GT500 for 70 000$ or a barely used 09 ZR1 for 5 grands more humm......
