Sure it wasn't oil smell? Mine has done this since my last LOF and I can't see a reason why, it's not leaking, I can only assume I need to catch can it at some point. My Z06 was a burner and stunk until I did the catch can on it.

If you do a search for burning oil smell a number of threads will come up. Is this the issue you're talking about? My car was doing the same. Not related at all to running the car hard. In fact, I would usually get a whiff of the burning smell just after I was cruising down the expressway for a while and I'd get the smell when would stop at the exit ramp traffic light. The threads don't specifically an exact cause, but there are several theories. One thing that's odd is that it tends to go away if you just ignore it on some cars. That's what happened with my car. I used to get that smell inside the car at least once a day. Then, it stopped for some reason.

The strange thing to me was how abrupt the change was. I used to get the smell pretty much every time I drove it, and this went on for many weeks. Then, it just stopped doing it one day and has been completely gone since.

Default recall on a 12

went to the stealer today for a minor problem, and he showed me that recalled" rubber piece" that goes around the windshield, on the 12's, he say the reason for the recall was a howling noise folks complained about, but I can't hear nothing (nam vet) to many guns shots ..lol I think i'll leave mine alone , don't need someone taking apart things , might get worse
