Don't know if I could give up the ZR1 without trying it after healing. If you're wanting to move to the C7 anyway then I wouldn't leave the Z parked for 8 months either. Your car should sell easily. Hope your recovery goes well.

Safety Car
on the corvette forum $5
anywhere else, my suggestion is do an auto trader search and see what kind of list price pops up and figure out some average, gives you a ball park to start at…
why kind of surgery and why would it stop you later to shift?
I have a better idea: how about doing and trans swap in the ZR1?? if you really had to, you can fit an auto (build for the power of course) and keep the car….cheaper than the loss you'd get selling it or trading it….

If I were looking to sell a zr1, I would sell before the '15 z06 pricing is released.. lots of things point towards a $80k-low $90k msrp which could really hurt the used zr1 market..
good luck with the sale!
good luck with the sale!

gentlemen. interesting thoughts so far. I never would have thought of putting in an auto.
I do not wish to invest more into the car and once you make a major change like this it is no longer stock and suspect and then worth less in the future.
please keep the suggestions coming. you're right about advertising it else where, I got an im cash offer from a member that was almost $10k below what my local dealer said he would give me.

and some might say, what the heck offer low and if they say no, no loss, worst will happen they will say yes.
I think the dealership I bought mine from sold really cheap, and why I jumped on it the same day.

I would think somewhere around:
Dealer Trade: $72K
Private Sale : $75K
Dealer Retail: $81K
Give or take a few thousand depending on other issues....i.e. repairs/why/how? Been raced ever? Tire condition/miles?
Don't forget--if your state has sales tax on cars, you will be offset by that amount unless you run the sale through a dealer you are buying new through.
As noted above, you may want to get it sold before the 2015 Z06 prices are announced as I think they may knock the ZR1 values for a real loop.
Also, why not give your Club buddy a good deal then you can still "see" you car in the club?

Does any one know when they will be releasing the prices for the 15 Z06 ?

Plus another year make it 70 and below. Shouldn't be hurt much really. The base Z06 doesn't get you the better brakes and 3lt interior. The ZR1 carry's a lot of moxie~!
