Default Ported snout and TB vs LPE w/ 102mm

I spent a good amount of time researching this topic before my build to see what sort of gains could be had with an LPE setup and 102mm tb over a ported factory snout and TB w/ K&N filter so I decided to document my findings and share them with everyone.

I have a 2011 ZR1 with heads/cam/ported blower and AR headers. When the build was started we ported the snout and TB and added a K&N filter to the stock intake. With this setup, once tuned the car made 664/639. A few days later, I decided I wanted to hit the 700rwhp mark so I dropped my car back off at KP racing and had them add an LPE snout, NW 102mm TB, and the LPE intake and re-tune it. The end result was 702/664. Both setups were run with only a 2.6 pulley (stock crank pulley)

So, on my car at least, the LPE setup was worth 38rwhp and 19rwtq over the ported factory snout and TB.

Can't forget to add you are also adding the 102tb. Stock tb is 87mm. Ported stock TB is what 89-90mm?

Not discounting the LpE snout but I'd be willing to bet most of the gains came from the TB.

Agree, I wouldn't be surprised if you could gain just about all of that 38 hp by going to an aftermarket intake and ported LS2 tb with the stock unported snout.

Just curious. How would you interpret the data if the correction factor was 20%

Dyno correction factor. STD, SAE, STP, SAE J1349

I'm asking which correction factor was used. Usually dyno sheets have them on there, but I didn't see it on his.
