ZR1 709rwhp on Straightline's Mustang dyno video
I just wanted to Thank Mike, Nick, Joe, and everyone at Straightline performance for the excellent work they did tuning my ZR1 yesterday.
I drove the car 5 hours one way from Michigan to Straightline in IL to get it tuned and then drove it back the same day. On the ride home I was so happy I almost got a ticket with the new found power. I found myself just hammering it away every chance I got. The drivablilty, idle, and power throughout the whole rev range is fantastic. It feels like a NA motor that pulls continuously.
The car made ~80 more hp just in the tuning alone thanks to Mike H's magic on the dyno from my previous tune, but the drivability was 100% improved.
It put down 709hp on 93 pump gas on a mustang dyno at 6144rpm and still had more in it on top. Can't wait to put it on a dyno jet and wind her out to 6700rpm to see a bigger number.
Cooling was fantastic with there expansion tank and Magneson HE setup thanks to DREW (ZBADESTZ)!!!! Thanks for all the help with the mods and having me go to Straightline for the tune.
IAT1 =109
IAT2=122
During the dyno pass.... till 150mph 4th gear pull.
The video isn't that clear when I zoom in at the end. Maybe Nick or Mike can upload the dyno graph? I didn't get the grah, but got the dyno sheet cover that just stated numbers.

The ZR1 was making 16lbs of boost with 2.38 upper pulley, LPE package with ported snout to match the NW 102 TB, ID 850 injectors, ARH 1 7/8 headers, Akropovic exhaust, no cats, Vengence HE kit, brick mod, expansion tank, dewitts radiator, and midly ported blower.
Next steps for me is Meth, mantic clutch, bigger cam and rework heads to check/install brass guides. Car has 25K miles on it.

I wasn't at the shop yesterday to get the dyno sheets to post, but here you go.... I was extremely happy with the way the tune turned out, especially considering all the issues as they were described to me and all the people who had attempted to correct them. I'm glad that the actual tuning went as smooth as it did.
Once again, thanks for the many kind words, and I want to see some videos of the car post tune...

Street traction is minimal with stock PS2's in the rear. I had the torque management in 1st left alone in the tune so I can launch the car and every other gear has it maxed out in HP tuners. I can launch the car at 850-1000rpm and still hook decent to pull off a 0-60 in 3.5-4 secs, then 2nd gear shifting will spin the tires unless I pedal it. Roll its hooking in 2nd if the tires are heated up and 3rd is no problem from a roll. Yes-- I need a good tire to hook, so street traction is my right foot control. I rather spin a little then dead hook the car and go through a clutch. I mostly do roll racing, and I'm still on the stock clutch---not sure how long that will last.
If I powershift 3-4th it will spin the tires and traction management kicks in.

Ya, that would fun, but not really fair anymore. I finally got my stuff working right.
Best race so far---700 rwhp 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 (tuned, intake and other goodies). I took his passenger in my car (250lbs) and gave him the leave from a 60 mph roll so it would be fair--- but still caught up quickly and pulled on him.
I now love driving this car again.... the new found power is awesome!

Hey buddy, congrats!....I run the 2.3 upper with the 76mm idler but couldnt get the gates green belt in the right size. I saw in that video that you have one. Do you have a part number for it? Or how did you make it work?

I run a Gates K120815HD V-green belt--- had to cut one rib out since it only comes in 12 rib to make it work on our 11 rib system.
the measurements are 42mmX2083mmOC and the other number on the belt is 12PK2069. I ordered it under the K120815HD number online.
I run 2 Metco 50mm Double Bearing Idler pullies MIPDBR50-10.
Must select 10 rib version

I got all the info from this thread...

Hope that helps
