[ZR1] Put on PS Cup 2 mounted

Put on PS Cup 2 mounted
went with 345/30/20 and 295/30/19
as you can see the tire is MUCH BIGGER than stock. When the car was lifted the tire rubbed on the inside but once lowered it cleared. Hopeful there won't be rubbing at Willow Springs on Friday. I will update the thread

probably 'hooked' because you just changed your final drive axle ratio (numerically lower), sorry my opinion too big, should have gone 345/25's instead

The car has a lot of torque so I am curious about the taller tire and the effect on acceleration. The taller tire will be great for mechanical grip at the track.
Please post your results and any negative findings.

Curious to see what your results are. Also, why not use 285/35R19 on the front, it would have made the front to rear diameter difference much closer to stock and probably not caused any issues with TC/AH (1.3" vs 1-1.1" for stock).

NO issues with ABS or Traction Control...did some runs with it off and some with it on Level 5
Front had rubbing when compressed and turned but was fine but my car was corner balanced/aligned and is lower than stock. But probably best for most to stick with stock sizes but rear had no issues rubbing.
Id say the tire is comparable to NT01. Felt very good.
First time at Willow Springs International Raceway with it and ran a 1:31:05 (car is stock besides muffler and alignment)

Thank you very much for this!! I have been asking this question for the last 6 months!
Great stuff!!
where did the front tires rub? Inside of the tire or outside.. I assume outside but want to be sure
how much are you lowered?
I'm going for these on my extreme body, thinking to stretch it to 285/35/19 at the front tho.. puzzled if they will rub at stock hight

Sucks about the rubbing. I already get front tire rubbing at Sears point caraseoul with the loaded front end and I think in t3 also so this would be worse. Will just wait On stock sized cup 2's.
I have a z06 with z07 package but our suspension and such should be same.

I have the Zo7 also and get the rubbing up front when hard braking then turn in. Dealer said I was out of spec and raised it and it is still doing it at the track. I have heard of some guys changing the springs and keeping the mag suspension with good results. I just don't know what spring. After a long straight and hard braking it dives too much for me, really unsettles the car.

Hello. I think the set up looks awesome. The rear wheels will give you no problems whatsoever and will not cause any lights to go off. Having the tires slightly taller will be no problem at all because the ZR one has too much torque horsepower for the larger diameter tires to have any effect on slowing the vehicle due to Essentially a slightly higher ratio. It actually may be faster because the ZR one can smoke about any tire with the traction control off regardless of the size unless it's a full on drag slick that's not warmed up. Actually I'm very surprised that it hooks up well. Did it hooked up well originally or only after The tires were worn in?
I see you mention that there was occasionally some rub on the fronts and the dealer adjusted. this can occur on the front w/ this size when hitting bumps and so forth. There are two screws and immediately underneath and arm. If you jack up the car and then use a jack to decrease the pressure on the arm I would guess you would be able to make Clearance by adjusting these. I am not sure but perhaps the dealer did not do this quite enough. Not sure but perhaps it may not look as good if raised to the degree necessary in the front. if you notice there are probably some marks on the wheel well. One should be towards the front of the car. And another at the very top of the well, and a minimal Mark posteriorly.
I would just make sure to look at the outer aspect of the tire as there may be some slight chipping or damage along the outer aspect of the upper edge of the tire as this aspect is where most prominently approximates the edge of the wheel well where the insert is attached. I am imagine the tires were cheaper as this is an unusual size sofa cause no problem I think it's a great deal. Hope this helps thanks – George
