m.s.n. had it on their home page as a 17. 0% true? Do you really think the vette as we know it has maxed out?

I still believe GM will produce a C7 ZR1 if they think there is money to be made. If they do, it will be at least 700 hp and will crush anything made in America and most anywhere else.

A superior vette is coming. ZR1?, mid engine? these guys are good secret keepers but one thing we know, they've been messing with mid engine platforms since the 50's. and it isn't because they have nothing better to do.

2017 ZR1 will make the new Z06 feel like a Prius. YES it is happening.

Melting Slicks
I have read on another forum from a guy in the "know" about the 6th Gen Camaro's stating c7 Zr1 would be an lt4 with a 2.3 blower. Nearing 800hp.

I hope they make another ZR and make it rear/mid engine. And name it after Duntov. Zora worked his tale off trying to get a mid-engine vette only to have the bean counters always nix it. If they build it, naming it after him would be a nice touch.
And it may be worth doing. IMO what we've seen with the C6Z, ZR and now the C7 Z, is that we're probably getting to the limit of what can be done with a front engine Corvette with factory street tires. Can simply only put so much power to ground in that configuration with factory tires. A rear/mid-engine layout would allow them to take the next step forward on accel/performance.
Whether they actually do it or not. . . . beats me. We'll see.
