First Corvette, 2009 ZR1 Checking in!
Well, after quite an ordeal driving hours upon hours looking at Vettes I finally found an absolutely immaculate 2009. It's hard to describe how well this was taken care of. The previous owner was obsessive about keeping the car perfect. He told me to bring a magnifying glass and challenged me to find a single blemish. I couldn't believe how absolutely pristing the car is. 16000 miles, 3ZR, the original chrome wheels were powder coated black. My absolute favorite color combo. Engine is pristine, you could eat off of it. I sold my 2014 Camaro ZL1, which was quick, but holy hell nothing like this car. My dream car since they came out in 2009. I couldn't be happier! What a gorgeous, amazing vehicle.

I dunno 'bout those Z06 guys, though. But seriously congrats on the new Z. And speaking of C7....does Fiat get any money for that rear they lifted off a Chrysler Crossfire?

Here's a couple of pics of the rims. Absolutely fantastic job. I didn't know much about powder coating, but I guess they actually sand blast the chrome off of it before turning it black. They are simply gorgeous. Also attaching a couple of other relative close ups to show just how perfect the previous owner kept this car. I had a horrible experience with another Vette I looked at. Drove 4 hours to look at what was described as an immaculate Red with Black wheels 2010. It was anything but immaculate. Enjoy.

So here is the Corvette I drove 4 hours to see in LA (I live in Clovis, CA). The first pic looks pretty good and is what I saw driving up. I thought to myself that it looked awesome. Then I walked up to it and you can see what I saw in the second pic. Horrible rock pitting all over the car. Clearly it had seen the track a bunch. This was one section. It was front, back, doors, hood, etc. The salesman knew I was driving 4 hours. I was there for maybe 25 minutes and drove 4 hours back home. To say the least I was PISSED (as a side note I was very, very specific with the salesman that I needed a detailed review of the car, that I was very picky and paint was a big deal to me....he kept saying it was beautiful and I didn't have to worry, he even took video of the car, though obviously not close enough)! Luckily the manager sent me an email asking me about my experience. In a very non emotional, professional tone (I'm serious, I didn't want it to sound too emotional or they wouldn't listen) I explained the entire situation from the time I began talking to their salesman to the time I left. All good things come to those who wait. Literally on the drive home I called the owner of the ZR1 I own now and it turned out to be a truly special vehicle.

welcome to the VIP
Congrats on the sick ride!! I honestly wish I could be in your shoes right now because it would bring back that same feeling I had when I first got my Z a few years back! Have fun and go burn some rubber!!
