Default '12 ZR1 Brake Pads

Looking for info on the best aftermarket front and rear pads for the ZR1? I have looked at the OEM pads but wanted to see if anyone has had any success with aftermarket?

Yes sir. My pads are okay at the moment but want to go ahead and buy some so they will be here in my garage when that time does come.

For just street use I would use the Carbotech 1521 pad.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I'm using Carbotech 1521 pads and am completely satisfied. Good stopping power and best of all low dust.

Highly recommend.

My stock pads have good braking power but squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks often, I have the beat them and get them real hot to cut the noise for a short period of time. I dont track the car, just crusing. I did the burnish procedure, it was ok for 5-6 weeks then started again. Would Carbotech Bobcat 1521 would fix the noise problem or is it only my to ''gentle'' driving causing the problem? Thanks

I highly recommend the 1521 pads. The best part is they possess great stopping power and almost no dust.

Recommend you order them from Adam. Very responsive and good pricing.

You do know that the life of pads and rotors on the ZR1 have a street life expectancy of about 100,000 miles...

I had read that the rotors were but didn't realize that about the pads. Thanks
