In this Texas mile video I spotted a gray ZR1 with Forgelines @ 1:09. Is this your old car?

Wow, is that a gorgeous car. It would be the exact one I would want. Hard to beat black in this body style. I have a 2006 red Z06 with 2,400 miles on it and perfect paint. I went ahead and put Suntek paint protection film on it to protect it from rock chips. Something you might consider. Enjoy!

Congrats on the ZR1!
In my opinion, the lines of the C6 are awesome. I know some say it looks dated, but I still like it a lot.

I too am torn between a new zo6 and used zr1. With $15-20k off new zo6's putting them at $70k for an auto is very tough to pass up. Seems $55-60k is the number for used 09-11 zr1 with low miles. Coming from a 565rwhp c6z, I can only imagine how a modded zr1 feels at 765rwhp. But for an extra $10-15k you get a car that's more advanced and brand new.....

I wish I could find a ZR1 with low miles at 55-60, but for me when I search nationwide, in order to get sub 10,000 miles, it's north of 63k, with the ultimate one being 67k. Then you can get a Z06 with less miles for 68k on my local craigslist. These ZR1s are holding their value well. Both are great cars, if you read this thread you'll already get all of our opinions, and most of them are biased of course, if you go in the Z06 section you'll see everyone says to get the C7 Z06. It's personal preference I've deduced. ZR1 is fast, but it's slightly older news. The Z06 is also fast, and it's brand new. Depends which matters more to you, price or new news. If you can easily afford it, pick up a C7Z06, but if not, the ZR1 will steal your heart.

I would say test drive them both if you can. Also, I have heard the C7 can feel a bit claustrophobic inside and the visibility out the back is not good, although the interior is more high tech and nicer. If you want the latest in tech, go with the C7 Z. Personally, I like the looks of the ZR1, but everyone has different taste in what they like. Also, since they made a ton of C7 Z06s and there are low production numbers on the ZR1, it is likely to hold it's value and possibly go up in value down the road.

OP, best of luck with that beautiful ZR and like someone mentioned get it wrapped in Xpel or Suntek etc.
If i didn't already own a C6, I probably would've purchased a 12 or 13 ZR... but after owning a C6 for three years, and riding, driving and admiring the C7's I can't bring myself to drive in that cockpit knowing the C7Z was within my grasp...
My C7Z mrsp was almost 97k. I paid $76.9k for it AND I used some GM points to being the price down EVEN FARTHER.. BRAND NEW...
Mine is only one of eight to ever be produced as they stopped making Shark Gray the same year they began the "Design Packages".. so there's my exclusivity factor lol..
I love the look and feel of the ZR absolutely breathtaking and it is the current "KING"...but I cannot get over the interior..
