Default Which Non Run Flat Tires

Not many choices in factory sizes for the street, leaning towards Michelin Pilot Super Sports, looking at these alterative sizes,

Front: 275/30ZR19
Rear: 325/25ZR20

What did others go with and with what sizes and are you happy with them?

I went with run-flat Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires because of the lack of options in non-runflats. I have been very happy with them, but don't drive in the rain with them.

I considered those but my concern was low tread rating and cost.

I'm with you there. 180 treadwear for street tires that cost $1500+/set doesn't make much sense.

I'll be waiting on some reviews when the Pilot Sport 4S is released.

Just checked with Michelin and for the release in March they will not have ZR1 sizes. I put in a request for our sizes so we'll see what happens, it's odd that the C7 Z06 has the same size but they don't make in PSS non run flats and now the replacement.

I went with 275/30/19 and 335/25/20 continentals, they seem a little narrower than the stockers but hook pretty good at stock power levels. The 7 year old original tires were still on the car when i got it so i cant really give an honest comparison to anything other than wornout tires. 970 shipped on tire rack.

The nitto invo is a great tire. Sticky to the point of embarassing yourself if you try to burnout and end up taking off instead. good tread wear too. Rated at 200 I think

Yep they absolutely do. You step up to a 345 on the rear.

I would like to know more about these tires. Can you recommend a site that has unbiased reviews for them?

From all the reading I've done so far the Michelin Pilot Super Sports keep coming up as the top tire, I just wish they made factory sizes.

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/nitto-invo-page-4 There are some non biased reviews on the invos. The nt555 g2 is also a good tire from what friends have told me. Once again not sure what sizes they carry though and it's a directional tire which means no rotations without dismounting tires

I have to disagree. I have a set of INVO's now and they don't stick as well as the original PS/2's, in a straight line or in the curves. I'll be going to the Super Sport run flats on my next set.

Yeah, I agree. Everyone I know that has run the Invos in the past don't anymore. Mustangs, Vettes, and more.

if you read a little higher up on the thread the OP expresses concern for the ps2 so I was trying to give him an alternative to that tire.

Those posts were referring to the Sport Cup 2, not the PS2. Regardless, there's nothing wrong with mentioning the INVO as another option. I simply disagree about INVOs having more traction (lateral or straight line) than any of the top tier Michelin tires (PS2, Super Sport, or either version of Sport Cups).

Bumping this instead of making a new thread.

Does anybody have experience with trying both a 275 front and 295 front? What were the differences driving? Handling/balance of the car? I appreciate the feedback. Getting new tires on next week, just can't decide on front sizes.
