I agree with the thread consensus. At the end of the day it's still a Chevy and not very temperamental. Replace the battery and it should start right up.

I'm in Cincinnati.
We couldn't get to the car this weekend. Will try next. I'll also snap a couple of pics.
Lots of folks have been interested in purchasing the car. It's not officially for sale yet, but I think that's the direction my friend is going. The car is a 2010 with approx 10k miles. It also has a couple of hp modifications that I'm trying to track down. More to follow.

I thought I read that somewhere in an old post.
Thanks!

It's the injectors that don't fire during the "clear flood" mode you are describing (gas pedal at 100 % / floored), and although you said clutch pedal twice, I think you meant gas pedal (as lifting the gas pedal to anything less than 100% WILL allow the injectors to fire, and the car will attempt to start).
Lifting off the clutch does nothing but prevent the starter from spinning the engine.

I'd be weary about the gas. Try and top the tank off with as much fresh gas as you can. I've had pump 93 (E10) start to go bad in my 4th gen Z28 in 5mo (only let this happen once.) Exhaust smelled horrible and that was even putting about 6 gal of fresh 93 on top of the 1/3 tank that was in the tank before starting.
I'm learning all kinds of new things from this thread (especially the pre-lube procedure). Awesome info.

Hey Gary, just a few points of clarification..

Dan, thanks for clarifying my words, as I was thinking exactly what you have noted !

You push the start button and release it...the engine will turn over for about 10-15 seconds.
I usually then wait another 20--30 seconds before starting the engine normally.
It always then fires right up...

Is this procedure you are talking about to clear a flooded engine that won't start or to lubricate an engine that has been sitting for a while ?
If it's the latter, how long is a while, two weeks, more ?
