NC performance shops
Guys I was looking at doing some mods to my ZR1 along the lines of cam, headers, intake, pulleys, and cooling mods. I live in Greensboro, NC and was seeing if anyone has had any experience with shops around here. RPM motorsports, PCM of NC, JHR performance, Mayhem motorsports are the only ones I know that are the closest to me. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

stay the hell away from RPM. I have a friend that lost 3 motors that they built before he finally said "enough". their tuning is good for alot of my other buddies though

Yes i know about TICK but i think they are only selling parts from what i'm aware of. If i'm wrong please someone let me know because i've heard they do good work. Some places are saying to do cooling mods and others aren't even putting them in their proposed packages. If the car is just going to be a street car and not a dedicated track car are cooling mods needed?

JHR is an excellent shop and my experience with them over the past two years has been outstanding. PM me if you have any questions.

If the car is only going to be a street driven car and not a track car what cooling mods do you guys think are necessary if any? I know of the brick modification or heat exchanger. Are these mods necessary and worth doing?

I believe the factory SC maximum boost on the LS9 is set at 12 psi...f y i, the most I have seen on my car is 10 psi.
The comments I was referring to above were in the context of raising this setting above 12 psi...
