Default Transmission part numbers

I'm looking to purchase a ZR1 TR6060 for my C5.

I'd like the MH3 ratio

I've found 24264054 and 24264055 as the replacements for the old mh3 part numbers.

If the is the case one should have skip shift and one should not.

When I look the part up myself on gmparts direct I see 24258827 listed for a 2012. Is that the ME2?

When I look up an 09 I see 24264054 and 24264056. Where did the 056 come in?

I assume the only difference between the skip shift and no skip shift versions are the price in my case? No harm in buying a w/o skip shift version?

Because some trans options sold are the shorter second gear like the ZO6. Then you had the non skip shift vs the skip shift version.

I thought skip shift was only aftermarket... whats the difference between the two?

Thanks

I put the 24264055 in my 2013 ZR1 a couple of years ago to get the 2009-2011 gear ratios (MH3). It has the skip shift solenoid on it, but I bypassed it anyways. I think the non-skip trans (xx-4054) is for export cars and wasn't available at the time anyways.

The 4054 and 4055 are both for the LS9 with MH3 ratios (2.29 first gear), but the 4054 is without skip shift and the 4055 is with skip shift.

The 4056 is for a TR6060 with the LS7 (2.66 ratio first)

There is also a 24264052, which was the later transmission with optional ratios (ME2) on the ZR1.
