Well it sounds like you already made up your mind and like the car so go buy it!!!!!!!!!

Modifications do not increase the value of the car, period. KBB is just a guide. You need to do comparisons on what the cars sell here, at auctions, and ebay.

Simply put, the car is priced above true market value, period.

But, if you really like it as I said go buy it and at least make a lower offer than his asking price.

Default pull trigger

Walk away.. To many nice lower mileage Z06's unmodified for about same price..... Ebay has 3 with that mileage or a little less for around 39k.. You should be able to get one with 10k or less for that price. Just my opin. Mike

I haven't made up my mind at all, i know you guys have great expertise in vettes. It is an amazing car but i dont wat to over pay. I may have it for a couple yrs and didnt want to lose 10k when i go to resale it. It did seem steep to me even with the mods, i wanted to pay 40k at max due to the 40k mileage.

Okay this is what you do. It sounds like you REALLY like this car and you have established your budget to be 40K at max. Tell the guy that you are being straight up and want to buy this car. However, all you have in your gas tank is 40K. He will prolly counteroffer but tell him 40K is it. Let him stew for awhile and you may end up getting a call back. He will be getting a nice deal for 40K and you will get a car you REALLY like. Do NOT buy on emotion!!!!!!!
If he wants more than 40K for the car he is nuts and move on. You want the car so don't play games. Give him the price you are willing to pay. Period. Good luck.

Here is one for 17,XXX that is just sitting here.

There are PLENTY of other options. Do not get hung up on ONE car.

Just a thought.

KBB values are so overblown, I wouldn't even consider them a guide in any sense. Seems like they're inflated to make owners feel better about their car. The only book value that's even close to actual market right now is NADA.

Am I missing it in the mods list but seems like there was no head work done to deal with the dropped valve issue ? ESPECIALLY with the high lift cam .. its a time bomb waiting to go off ..Was track day and 5 out of the 6 c6 vetts that where there the motors where replaced due to the valve guide problem in LS7s . I would either find one that has had the issue fixed or find a cheaper Z06 and get the heads done then there pretty much bullet proof .

I am no expert on this but all I can say to the OP is definitely consider what this member is telling you.

well there are other issues with those early c6 zo6s. When I decided to get one I got a 2008 as the kinks were worked out. You should consider doing a 2008 if you are not familiar with the early z06 years.

That is a viable option. No need to wait. They are taking orders and members here have received their cars already.
