After several months of debate, I have decided to sell my '72 LS5 convertible that I have owned 12 years. I am looking to buy or trade for a 2013 427 1SC for long distance touring. In short, my '72 is a 454 LS5, TH400 auto, power and air, with performance 336 ratio gears. It has good tires, fairly new leather interior, door panels and carpet. Just before our mountain tour last fall, I installed new brake pads, belts and hoses. This is not a numbers matching car, but it is a factory big block car. The previous owner changed the engine short block in the early 80's when it was using oil. The paint and tan top are fairly old, but they are still presentable with no major flaws. If my wife and I weren't going to be making 3000+ mile trips, we would just keep it. It just does not get the fuel economy and have the creature comforts for these longer distances. I can provide much more detail if interested. This is a great reliable driver that gets lots of attention when in town or on the road. This is not a numbers matching show car, so don't look if that is what you want. I am asking $27,000 or will cough up the difference for a clean low mileage 2013 427 1SC in white, silver, or grey.
