Car made it to its new home. Seller (Kevin) was great to work with and his Dad has a great red coupe as well. Good people. Thanks again for your time and cooperation Kevin.

As the buyer of this car, I do believe I got a pretty good deal. I think the second owner would, and if I recall, did agree that the first owner must have drove this car like a racecar for the better part of its first 22k miles of life. The carfax shows as much with the front rotors being replaced at 15k miles and the computer being reprogrammed and maf sensor being replaced during the first owner's ownership as well. My target was not a warranty car and this one fits the bill. Again, I think the 1st owner decided to null and void his/her warranty right out of the gate. Second owner has proven that he drove it an average of 3500 miles EACH of the last 5 to 6 years.

The gm vis shows that the right rear half shaft (axle) was replaced early in the cars life as well. At first this concerned me, but upon reading the forums (mostly from 2007 and 2008 postings) I have discovered that this is most likely a great thing that it was replaced as gm put much stronger axles on when they (usually the right rear) would break.

The main issue I have and it was brought up in purchase is that the brakes squeal pretty bad at slow speeds. I have new rotors and pads on the way. There is also a sound sometimes at slow speed as you start to roll or especially if you turn at slow speed. Nothing loud, just there. I believe it could need the differential fluid changed, I plan to do that as soon as possible.

With that being said. The car is exactly what I wanted and at the price I wanted... With the money I feel I saved by looking for a mid range mileage z, I will get the heads looked at and most likely reworked asap.

Only time will tell on this one if I got a good deal. I believe I did and I trust the word of the second owner, Kevin that the car has been problem free for him and look forward to crossing paths with him again when he gets his c7.

Congrats on the car! I was all set to go up to Dallas on Saturday of the same week you bought it, but you got to it first! Jealous!

Thanks! Yea, mentioned someone from Houston being interested. The car was almost 100% what I was looking for and I didn't have to travel to get it so it was a no brainer for me.

I think you are in a great situation though if you have the time to be patient. You should have one once the spring rolls through. Best of luck with your search

**CAR IS SOLD**

For anyone interested, I am about to place this Z up for sale soon at a asking price of $32 obo. I believe it now only has 52-53k miles on it (I will get the exact reading when I get to the house or as soon as I get it out for new pictures).

Reason for sale - I lost my job about 45 days after buying this car back in Jan of 2015. I have held on to it long enough through some rough times but it is time for it to go. I love the car and I do not think you will find many at this price range with this mileage.

I intend to ask $32000 or best offer. Look for my new advertisement soon, but I thought I would piggy back off the thread that I bought it from so that anyone currently looking/in the area might get in early.

Non-smoker, drives great, and while the brakes are fine, I do have some replacement brakes and rotors to throw in with the sale.

**CAR IS SOLD**
