Valve guides were thoroughly inspected about a year ago when the cam, valve springs & retainers were installed Professionally by shelby racing. They build all of the factory gt500 super snakes for ford and they also do a lot of factory work for gm as well. They looked at the valves and heads said there is no signs of unusual wear or anything abnormal in the tolerances and replacing the parts would not make any difference. Car has 54k miles without any hiccups, usually bad valves go in the lower miles cars because it is a manufacturing issue.
