Default Thinking about selling my 2010 ZR1

We are planning a second story addition to our house and considering selling the ZR1 to help fund the project.
Car is 2010 3ZR Cyber Grey, Ebony Interior, with silver painted wheels. Current mileage is 7600. Car is in perfect condition. Completely stock except for tinted windows and Lloyds mats. Tires are at least 80%. I also have a set of black HRE's that were on the car, but I will most likely keep them as I plan on getting another ZR1 down the road. Car has been garage kept and is located in suburbs of Chicago. $75,000.00. Purchased 3-28-2011, so still under power train warranty for another 18 months.

Price?

According to the classified rules you need to list one.

You must post an asking price for the car, forum rule.

Maybe with 25k miles on them. Mine has 7600 miles. Good luck with your search.

my $.02 if i could do it over again? sell the ZR1, take cash put it into mortgage. depending on what you owe on house take a 5/1 arm pay house off in 5yrs at super low interest then rent that house out take that rent money and pay your new house's mortgage with it... I swear if i could do it over i would have never done an addition.. move... sacrifice for 5 years and you will thank yourself for rest of your life.. good luck!

^^ Good financial advice for building wealth, but what lap time did his house do at Spring Mountain? At Road Atlanta? At Sebring?

Yep, that's what I thought.

Life is short. Drive a Corvette.

At about 65k I think you wouldn't be the only one interested in this car.

Our situation is such, that our neighborhood is a very desirable one, so the value is there as far as return on investment. The other key factor we love the schools that are children attend and they still have a long way to go.

I'm sure they are.

So why haven't you bought one?

Because if they are asking 65K, you want it for 55K.

Briefly looking at your posts, they all have the same theme.....prices of ZR-1's are tanking, the value has dropped off the map since the C7 Z prices were announced.

Prices will only go up on ZR-1's after you buy one.

But that will never happen

These are the same reasons my wife and I did what you're contemplating, and I don't regret the home improvements (addition, detached garage, pool) for one minute (18yrs later). If you're going to stay there for a long, long time... the $$ issue is not a big deal, and that doesn't count the intrinsic, real value of the benefits of staying where you are.

And this is coming from someone who buys and rents houses for a living.

Anyway... good luck to you!

I buy and rent out homes. Very very knowledgable on real estate.

If your addition makes your home one of the higher priced homes in the division then it's not a good idea (most the time)

I can always do an analysis for you PM me if interested

Where to hell were all you guys for all the years I wasted my money buying lottery tickets. All I had to do was ask you! I could have saved a bundle!

OP. Good luck with your sale.

There are people willing to pay a little more for the car that they want.

The RIGHT CAR!
The right mileage!
The right color combination!
The right price!
The right options!

Or just because!

This guy doesn't need financial advice! He needs to sell his car.

Your price is right were it should be right now for a 3ZR with low miles. Good luck with the sale and the home addition!

Default Wow!

I almost did not post for fear someone would attack me too!

Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the car.

OP, look over the top of the texting box for the paper clip then follow thru if all your pics are on your hard drive.

I never was able to post more than 4 to 6 pictures per posting, but found out you can come back later and add more with a reply.

Do it!
