EDIT - add Grand Sports to requirements below.
I am a motivated buyer with cash to invest in the next toy. I will buy a vette in the next 2 to 3 weeks immediately after some work related business travel is complete. There are two cars I am seriously interested in but want to know if anyone else of thinking of selling or knows of a car that may fit.
The primary purpose of the car will be a toy. I enjoy autocross so suspension upgrades are MUCH more important to me than power adders. Power adders are okay too provided the suspension upgrades are also in place for a balanced package. My last toy was a supercharged Elise and before that was a 360 whp S2000. I like mods...
Basic requirements:
- MY '08 or '09
- No accident history
- M6 - NO automatics
- NO convertibles
- well maintained
- mileage + or - between 20,000 and 50,000
- Z51 or better suspension / brakes
- extra wheels / tires a plus
I really don't care about any specific option packages. Less stuff = less weight. More stuff = more comfortable toy. I am okay either way. I would consider a Z for the right price too but owning a Z is not a big deal to me.
I would be just as happy to run in AS or SSM or XP. I am equally okay with buying the right base car and adding mods myself or buying a car that has already been modded close to what I would do.
On the low end I am looking to spend $26k for a 50,000 mile LT1 / Z51 car and $38,000 for a 35,000 mile Z06 with new (quality) tires on the high end (yeah, probably not going to happen).
NOT interested in any car further than 700 or so miles from Birmingham AL. Heading north through Ohio, Virginia down through Florida and west towards Houston is okay as I can tie any of that in with work.
Whatcha got???

Thanks for the PM's. No need to send me anything that's already on this site, autotrader, cars, iseecars, ebay, craigslist (southeast/ mid-atlantic) etc. If it's out there already and of interest, it is on my list or bookmarked.
I'm just fishing to see if something is out there that is not on the market yet.

Bump...
I'll be checking out an out of town car early next week and a semi local car when I get back (hopefully). The local is probably in the lead right now. Test & tunes are coming soon so it's time to buy. Anything else out there?
