Price Drop: 2006 V/R Z06 for sale in Mass.
Sold
#11623 was ordered by Corvette Mike for stock from Valley Chevy in Pa. He sold it to a gentleman aged 65+ who drove the car for 2900 miles, and traded it back to Mike as he customarily did every year.
The second owner drove it until 11,000 miles and unfortunately passed away. His wife contacted Mike and he bought the car back. I purchased it from him last March.
Options on the car as follows, from the invoice:
Z06 coupe $65.000.00
Nav $1600.00
2LZ $2900.00
With dest. etc the car stickered $70.300. It has approx. 11,300 miles on it now. This is what has been done to the car in the last 100 miles.
Brand new chrome wheels from "Factory Reproductions" in Calif.
$1200.00
Brand new GoodYear runflats all around $1650.00
New Texas Speed and Perf. 265 cc heads with stainless valves, ARP bolts, pushrods etc...with gaskets and a dynotune that bill was over $4600.00. The work was done by SLOWHAWK Perf. here in Mass. The car made 481 rwhp on their Mustang dyno.
The car has the 2 tone red/black seats and the only mod is a mild/wild switch on the console. The car is flawless in every way. I feel this is a completely "sorted" low mile Z06, it needs nothing but a driver. I was able to sell my original heads for $1000.00 so if you add the new wheels, tires, and heads, I've put over $6500.00 in the car to make it perfect.
Thanks for reading,
Mark

But at your price point people aren't going to stand in line to buy it.
Why were the wheels replaced?

The original wheels were not perfect and I wanted a perfect car. The car is flawless and loaded. I guess I'll just have to drive it come Spring time...And weren't the 06's the lightest and fastest ?

Where are you in Mass? For comparison, there is an '08 on here with 14k miles bone stock for $38xxx. Yours having some bolt ons, heads, and great tune by Slowhawk should be comparable but it is an '06. I'm interested since I'm in CT.

I guess it's apples to apples....in other words what will the other car need to be as good as mine ? Tires probably, heads fixed absolutely. And this is no slam on his car either !!! We're all brothers here
Once we get out of this Snowmaggedon we're having this Winter you can come up and check it out. I'm in no rush, and neither are you. I am in Bedford Mass. by the way...
THX,
Mark

You're right Mark and in no way was I trying to imply your price is too high or anything. There's a reason they call it "resale red" and my wife and I saw a red Z last summer here and that's where we both decided to get one and red is sooooo nice. I need to sell my car ASAP and free up some cash so I can finally get one of these. We got a ton of snow here too, not as much as you poor souls in Mass! I'm active duty military and get up to Hanscom AFB every once in awhile so hopefully I can check it out sometime.

I am not trying to be bogus but if you got an offer slightly over 40 you should have taken it. It is and 06 and the C7 has come out. I understand you want 43 but I think you would be very well off getting 41 for it. We had a forum member here a few months ago sell a mint 06 z06 with 15 or 16 thousand miles on it for 38.

Bump..Slohawk does outstanding work. He did my GS and many others I know. Hard to find a better performace shop. Don't let they deter anyone. Don at slowhawk does the best work around.

Nice Mark! Congrats on your retirement! I'm an Air Force recruiter about 3 hrs away and usually get up to Hanscom every once in awhile since my squadron is there. I need to find out when our next quarterly training is. Can you send interior pics to aaron.waite1@gmail.com?
I only have the one pic of the interior. Trust me when I say the car is new, as it should be for 11k miles. If you are ever at Hanscom shoot me an email and I can give you directions here...If we ever get some nicer weather I can have my Son help me with some pics...

Wow, 9 months later and you are doing a TTT?
No offense but I think that should tell you something about your stinginess on the price!
As others have indicated, you should have taken those $40k+ offers and ran! In all honestly if I was selling this car i would be plenty happy with $38k, but to each their own.
Either way it's a really nice Z, although I'm not a fan of the repro's and runflats which everyone hates.
