A lot of guys do convert to auto either because they care about the extra .5s in the 1/4 vs driver experience, or they are 99 years old.
Best color, crazy good price.
It can be. I'll drive it anywhere in the country if someone puts a deposit down that makes sense for me to do that. I can then fly back home for free. My mom works for the airlines so I get a good deal. ; ) The only thing I ask is that the price would go up a few hundred to cover gas and groceries on the way.
I cant believe this is still for sale. Ive been in love with this car since you first posted it. Just too far out of my price range. Unless you wanted a 2011 SHO Taurus as partial trade. lol
Completely understand. I sold my 05 C6, and had the SHO up for sale and was going to get a cheaper daily driver, and spend around 35k on a Z06, now im thinking keep SHO and only spend about 30k on a nicer/newer narrow body C6.
If this didn't have the "dog hit" and air bags deployed I would be all over this. I'm not sure why that isn't listed in your post?
I'm with this guy. As unfortunate as it may be for you, a car taking a hit severe enough to set off airbags is going to lower the resale value below the blue book for almost anyone looking, and you really should list this in your first post instead of letting people discover it on Carfax and waste one of their VINs (and potentially irritating them in the process).
Something else you should be aware of is that airbag deployment on modern cars is based upon a set high rate of deceleration, which should not really ever be triggered when hitting a dog or usually even a deer (if the system is properly functioning), especially in a car this low, and many informed buyers will be aware of this. It's more likely than not that the "dog" that was hit was significantly more massive and made of steel and you were fed a line.
Also, just FYI, saying "firm" after your asking price in this situation might make people skip on past for weeks/months instead of alerting you to this and offering what they think is reasonable reduction (which is what I did). Of course you may price however you wish, and this is not a criticism of your price, but I think what I'm saying reflects reality.
