2008 C6 LS3 $27.5 NJ: Needs engine work
2008 Base C6 w/ LS3. 41k miles.
Bought the car in March 2016 for $34k. Got new tires, tune, and seats. Oil pump broke in June of 2016. Car ran for <1 minute without oil pressure. Replace oil pump and flushed oil several times. Car ran for 1000 more miles. Now there is a load noise caused by a collapsed lifter and metal chips in the oil. Engine needs to be reworked. Local shop (Stage 1 in Pompton Plains quoted me $1500 for new cam / lifters + parts). Great car for track build, return to its original configuration of LS3 with cam, or crate motor.
(Usual sob story, having a second kid in January and cannot invest time/money right now).
List of mods (list is from when I bought the car):
GM OEM Front and Rear Z06 Calipers, Performance Rotors, and Brake Pad Kit W/Brake Lines $3,105.98

I think you should repair it if all that is bad is the lifter.I have an LS7 waiting for a project like this but, your is too nice and a little out of budget. Good Luck it's a beautiful car!
