They are indeed great cars.... I am sure yours is as nice as you say. However, a lot of the "Corvette" crowd is not looking to step backwards (in their mind) to GTO.... GLWS... Love mine...

unfortunately 2005-2006 nice stock gtos out here in New York that are well kept with low miles are worth more then some stock ls2 c6's plus I have about 15k in work into mine so I should be right on the money for asking my price. Nice stock low mileage 05-06 gtos asking prices range from about 16,000-25,000 and ones with work done are asking 20-35,000 online- of course with clean carfax and clean titles in mint condition like mine..Prices constantly fluctuate. I should have saved some of the adds on Craigslist in the tristate here... 06-07 Z06's have been selling for about 30-35,000 with 30-40,000 miles on them and I looked at one only 4 days ago and the gentleman was ASKING 32,000 and the car was a real beauty. A good friend of mine traded a 2004 ls1 GTO with 85,000 miles and got 15,000 on the trade in in jersey, So I'm actually not far off as you may think. Yes selling my GTO is always an option i think about but I'm in no rush, I have a 404cid fully forged motor plus blower and meth I might drop in and wasn't sure if I should use it in my GTO or a vette, or skip everything and buy a used 06 gallardo, im just feeling around out here to see what's around. Corvettes are a dime a dozen, im sure I'll find a nice one.

very nice. I'm sure you're right about "stepping backwards" I figuered what the heck and give it a shot reguardless. Um does everybody on this forum own a GTO and vette too haha
shhhhhhhhhhh I'm already extremely tempted. It's more of a space issue for me now. If I could have two toys I would. I keep a "beater" Subaru as a winter/commuter car for work sometimes, then my actual work van, then my newer Sierra Denali, then my GTO and then my wifeys Mazda (boooo) and then her new Subaru.. we manage to fit all vehicles in a 4 car driveway and single garage hahah. I cannot squeeze a corvette and GTO in a single car garage... not uprights anyways haha

Dude... coming from someone who owns both a built Corvette Z06 and a GTO.... You will not get anything near what you are asking for on this forum... If you are dead set on a C6 then sell your GTO... and purchase one outright. The C6Z is way out of your price range. Just trying to help.... Consider it friendly advise.
I'm gonna have to agree. For me coming from a Built 06 GTO, forged 6.0, CCW wheels, chromoly cage, blah blah etc. I now have a Built C6z. If you get offered even anything close to $15k for the GTO, I'd take it and run. Good luck on the search

i still meet guys at local car shows that are new owners of gtos that ARE paying 23,000 for stock gtos in this area. Maybe not everybody is paying that but people are buying them for that price. It's not an impossibility to get that. Some enthusiast want what they want I guess. I don't need the 15k so I'm not worried. I'll keep the car forever at that point.

Actually I have 2 2004 GTOs and the C7. One GTO is a DD beater with over 100k and the other is a garage queen with 23k miles. Love em but it's getting time to get rid of the red daily driver. I will keep the yellow garage queen forever. Anyway, good luck with the sale! I say keep it and have both. Twice the fun.
