Default C6 Kenne Bell

Hi guys,

What is the scoop on the Kenne Bell C6 kit? I don't see the complete C6 kit on their site yet, just the C5 version.

I am probably going to go with an APS twin turbo, but the KB looks promising as well.

Anyone have any info on the KB?

Thanks!

I was wondering when you were going to come out with a 2006 corvette supercharger? I am in the process of doing research to purchase a system, and know that you make a quailtiy product. IF you have any inoformation you can pass along...it would GREATLY be apreciated. Thank you for your time.

I was wondering what the cost was for your C6 Corvette Supercharger System. It is for a 2006 Manual Chevrolet Corvette LS2.

Is the system available?
What is the total cost for the system?
How can I access pictures of the hood and the unit itself?

I am not interested in fabbing the C5 system you currently have. I would like the system that is produced for the C6 specifically.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to doing business.

I thought they had a C6 kit listed on their site at one point within the last few months. Maybe it was just some kind of upcoming product announcement.

I think I followed a link from this site to get to it and could have sworn that I saw it listed on their PDF price list.

Anyway, I am leaning heavily toward the APS turbo, but the KB sounded interesting.

Thanks for the info.

Too bad, too. I bet the hood won't be near as fugly on a C6.

Do the APS TT and get the benefit of an available kit and a lower C/G.

The C6 has the engine mounted closer to the "cowl" and clearance is an issue.

As a matter of fact,
the "cowl" needs to be cut just to swap on a FAST intake.
Lingenfelter actually sells a modification kit for cutting and glassing the cowl for the FAST intake.

With this in mind,
I believe Kenne Bell has their work cut out for them finding a way to make the KB fit on the C6.
Kenne Bell NEEDS do it.

This is the first that I have heard of a C6 KB. (???)

I am e-mailing them now.

We apologize for any confusion, but this kit is officially NOT available for the C6 as of this date. It IS available for the LS2 engine which we sell a lot of, but the kit has not been fitted to the C6 yet. We do have plans to do this, but it will not be until after the first of the year.

Someone in our sales dept. probably thought they were just asking for an LS2 kit. I will cover this again with our sales people to try to make sure this does not happen again.

Don't give up, and thanks for your interest!

Regards,

Ken

Thanks for responding to my e-mail Ken.

Can you please post the projected date for releasing your C6 kit?

How about a best and worst case scenario dates of release?

Also,
any track timeslips and videos for KB equipped C5's.

Thanks.

You're welcome.

Well, I would LOVE to be working on it right NOW, however, we are still backed up on several other projects we had slated for completion 2006. Our position lately is we do not like to post "projected" kit release dates unless we're already working on or very close to working on the actual project. We've been beat up for this before when we didn't meet our early on projections for other kits, but I can say our intention is to start early 2007 on the C6 kit. Since we already have a good starting point, meaning the C5 LS1 kit will fit the LS2 engine, most of the work is done.

Once we start on the project, we can get you a much better idea of a completion date. Again, I am hoping we can get going on it right after the first of the year.

We thank everyone for their continued interest.

Regards,

Ken

I dont know whether to ban you or give you props for bringing up a thread from 4 years ago...

Either way, nlnnln KB. Are they still saying that its coming soon? Cuz I hadn't heard anything I don't think anyone is holding their breath anymore. If you want one on a C6 TPE is glad to oblige.

Doesn't TPE say they are avialable, have been available, are numerous, and work famously?

I'd strongly recommend talking to someone who actually owns such a system before ever thinking about spending the money on it... That's all I'm saying...

Total Performance Engineering is supposed to be putting the finishing touches on the C6 kit and preparing it for release. Unless something has changed I think this is still true.
